Rackspace Launches Rackspace Email 7.0, Business-Class Email Hosting That Costs 90% Less Than Exchange

Rackspace® Hosting (NYSE:RAX), the world’s leader in hosting, has unveiled Rackspace Email 7.0, a major release of its business-class email hosting service. Rackspace Email 7.0 includes updates to its full-featured webmail app, such as right-click functionality, multiple personal calendars, the ability to delegate calendar “write access” to another user such as an administrative assistant, iCal calendar feeds, and improved foreign language handling.

The release of Rackspace Email 7.0 coincides with new reduced pricing for Rackspace Email customers. For the current pricing of $1 per mailbox, per month, customers get:

  • Full synchronization with Microsoft Outlook, Blackberry, iPhone, and Windows Mobile

This new product release and new pricing comes at a time when Rackspace Email has seen significant traction in the market, adding email hosting for about 350 new businesses domains a day. Rackspace provides Rackspace Email and Microsoft Exchange services to over 1 million paid mailboxes worldwide across more than 200,000 email domains. The service includes Fanatical Support® to over 15,000 direct customers and over 600 resellers and their clients.
